Finally, a substantial incarnation of this major theme. I've been working out various ways to present it and this is the result of one such test. I'm still tweaking it here and there, but I wanted to share it anyway, so here ya go.
This track is now "Heart of Discovery" because I have something else in store for "Unyielding Heart"
I use Fruity Loops Studio to arrange everything together, and the sounds are a combination of samples, soundfonts and virtual instruments (VST plug-ins).
I LOVE THIS. Dude. It is so inspiring. I was surprised/very pleased when the instrument began. The style reminds me a lot of Key's music, and that is my absolute favorite.
It's so calming, and reminds me of those rare times where you can just stand in a cool breeze and look at the sky, forgetting everything else. :3
When I was composing this theme (and subsequently arranging it as above) I tried to capture this sense of discovery, magic and emotion but in a way that makes it almost feel like a pulse, flowing through the world and the characters of Ongaia- which is why I ended up calling it 'Unyielding Heart'. Though as I've been working on a vocal piece based on this theme, I may have to rename this incarnation~
Hehe, thanks a bunch I'm still tweaking the volumes and panning and such, and I agree that the bits of percussion (like the hats) are a little overpowering. I'll be toning those down a little ^^

It's a great job! Good luck for the other works, too!
